We are quickly approaching the start to the Honor Guard Camp here at San Ramon. There are still spots available in the class.

Dates: May 6 - 10, 2024

Times: 0800 - 1600 hrs

Location: 6100 Camino Tassajara, Blackhawk, CA 94506

Uniform: Please wear your class B uniform and boots for Monday-Thursday. (Polos OK). We also require you to wear a cover during outside drills. A department baseball cap will suffice. On Friday we will require you to wear your respective class A uniform for the simulated full honors funeral. 

Equipment: Please bring your Honor Guard equipment that you normally use. We will have very few extra weapons and colors to practice with.

Food: Local 3546 will be providing a light breakfast of coffee and bagels on Monday through Thursday at the training site. Lunch options are about a 7-minute drive from the training site.

Are there any prerequisites to take attend this camp?

There are no prerequisites to attend this camp. Whether you're a complete beginner or someone looking to sharpen existing skills, you're welcome here. We cater to both first-time trainees and experienced individuals seeking to refine their knowledge and technique.

What equipment do I need to bring?

We have limited practice flags, harnesses, axes and pike poles so please bring your equipment that you have available. We ask that Law Enforcement please bring your ceremonial weapons with 25 blanks each. Please bring your class B uniform/boots for Monday-Thursday. (Polos ok). On Friday we require you to wear your respective class A uniform for a simulated full honors funeral.
